During the virtual experience, visitors will learn about historic Black people, businesses, and events along Route 66 in the cities of Chicago, Joliet, Bloomington, Springfield, Brooklyn, and East St Louis during the Jim Crow and Civil Rights eras.

What to Expect
•Visitors will visit the Route History Museum in person and use an oculus headset

•  Visitors will select a character and cities to visit

• Visitors will experience a 20 minute immersive virtual experience that includes two cities and a sundown town

• Visitors will sit back and learn about Black historic people, events, and businesses along Route 66.
